30's. Here I Come

Age 30 is a moment of truth when certain realities of life firmly take hold.
Here’s a list of signs that telling me that I'm turning 30. A freakin’ stiff back..

Less partying.
Get emo easily as like just a "clicked".
I woke up with a back ache.
No longer tolerate or have patience with teenagers or cocky dudes in their 20′s.
Usually get up to pee at night instead of sleeping.
Gain weight. I realized this in my age around 28.
Starts saying “younger people” and “back in my day we had…”.
Finally buy a bed frame in my age around 26
Of course I care about my family more.
I actually could sleep 8 hours, and wish everyone would SHUT UP so I could.
At last I understand why Large Print books were made. I enjoy reading novel instead of comics now.

Some great realizations as turning 30 years old should be: Money is not about health, happiness, fame or peace of mind-life is. It’s not about getting drunk to be flirtatious or to cut loose, have fun, get over a bad day, or to say things we couldn‘t have when we were younger. It is realizing we do not have to ‘be friends’ with people we don’t like or who are unkind, or who annoy others just because they can. It’s hanging out with people we just plain like hanging out with. Whether we choose to celebrate or ignore the day it is just a 24 hour period and when it is past business will go on as usual.

Resolution VS Revelation

Everyone is looking forward, making New Years resolutions and planning for 2012. It is the thing to do. I am too. But, as I’m looking forward, I couldn’t help but pause and take a look back. I wondered; was there anything different, unique for me about 2011. The obvious came to mind. I started this blog.

2011 did have a very unique element to it. I made my decision to changed a new job, hoping the grass will be really greener. In my new job, I made more business partners online than i made offline. My network grew. Started a new relationship after I've been single for a year. Somehow there is still obstacles on and off but this is how we see growth I think.

Moving forward to 2012...

Get Healthy

Getting healthy doesn't just mean losing weight. Perhaps I getting worried on myself. The <500 steps really worries me. Imsomia is another bad habit. I must have go gym regulary and sleep before 1am every night in 2012! No more exhausted activity. Less alcohol consumption; less smoking perhaps?

Get Happier

This is a little more of an abstract resolution that can mean different things to different people. As I always find ways to boost up my self-esteem, spend more time doing things that I love instead of things that making me feel bad about myself.

Be a Better Person

Being a good person I think I should actually throwing some random acts of kindness into my daily routine. As time goes by, am losing my patient. So I will keep telling myself, be patient and passion!

Show more Love to My Family

Spend more time with family! :)

Get Better in work

Bump up my work performance by just a little bit this year!

Pay off Debts

Travel More

Shopping More!!

Every year we get together with this rowdy group!! FUN FUN FUN. Everyone went to get their own pressiex for the merry exchange session and look very forward to this evening of laughter.

Last year, we held the party in Pearl International Hotel with the dresscode green, red and white. Fun games, hard core drinkers, wines with big laughs. So this year, much surprise for everyone, we have new members, I decided to get them some Christmas accessories instead of specified dresscode.
Masquerade party mask + novelty Christmas hair accessories. As usual we will going to have the gift exchange session with some additional quizs session. I believe tonight will be a great night.

We never say goodbye but we will meet again for sure. The pictures really shows how fun is our friendship. Back to our first trip to Genting 4 years ago. We took hundreds pics in first world resort carpark then came to 2nd trip in Melacca, u will b surprised a boy Jump out from the car in sudden and those gals in car are posing themselves. We are super cam-whoaring. The total pics we had from both trips is thousands. No one can imagine how crazy R5 is i think.
Like what Su's said, time flies..a gazzilion pictures later.. But the math is still right. R5+eternity. In our recent outing, we added a lil fun which is we always like to picture something (imagination actually) we pictured how is a wedding, a wedding menu list, r&r conceive.. My first day off. No special plan for this short break but my schedule seem really full.

As usual i am awake at 9 plus morning. Finished 2 episodes of drama then meet Cass and Wai Meng at Sunway Pyramid.

9 hours shopping is much tired compared to work i believe but we just manage to shops in 5 outlet after all. It's really fun to went shopping at working hours.

We been spending hours in the fitting room and playing so hard with the dooodolls hat.

Dear fellow colleagues,

It is with mixed emotions that I send this email. I just left a bunch of wonderful, colourful, loud, boisterous team members. It is with a heavy heart that I will leave here.

I feel blessed to have to get to know each and every one of these people, share laughter and tears (not mine), and the support and guidance given are honestly, beyond compare. We go through the ups and downs of life together – just like a real family does. That experience is priceless.

But moving on, hoping the grass will be really greener is always on everyone's mind, I guess. So here's me writing this email to bid all of you "Ta Ta For Now" in search of the greener pasture. :P

I would especially like to thank Marnix : Boss, over the 3 years 11 mths, you have taught me more than I could ever ask for and, in most cases, ever did ask for. Your demands were high and your patience short, but I take great solace knowing that my work was, as stated on my annual review, “mostly satisfactory.” 

We see our efforts how to maintain the friendship and it is growing even stronger..

I can still remember we actually went apart when the first few years we graduated from high school. some of us went to college, started the first job ... some of us even abroad for greener pastures, becomes one of the expertise in different fields..

Then years after, we finally can spend more time together.. We calling each other any one or two day.. we see each other every week.. we plans short trip or long trip year.. we eat, we play and we love each other more.

and November, we celebrate the last person birthday of the year - Teressa.. then we all going into 30' in 2012.

First Holiday

Our 1st trip was the 2nd week of the first year we met after pasar malam in year 2002 to Singapore.
2nd trip was Singapore as well in year 2004.
I don't really recall how bad was the 2nd trip we had. But you told me that was a really bad one.
The only i remembered was how nice is the KIKI's musical fountain show.
Well, it's so many years after we had another trip again and this is really different one. Thanks for planning everything for us. We talked craps, we discussed, we shares and we understand. The fun part is the door key issue, I wondered if we bump into something mysterious. This will never happen to me i think.. and road trip.. i never thought of i can spent so many hours in a car with anyone else besides her and you let me know am okie with it.

Iftar Ramadhan (Buka puasa dinner)

One of my colleugue suggested that we go for a Middle Eastern dinner. She recommended this place, Al Rawsha Restaurant, located at Kampung Pandan. It’s a huge place, and it’s open 24/7. It’s my first time having Middle Eastern meals :)

Personally i do not appreciate the food. To me is just like normal mamak style of food. They serve different kinds of Nasi bryani. (not sure is the correct spelling. lolx)

Am real exhausted today. I almost failed to wake up in the morning.

Am weird..super weird.
i have nothing special on my weekend.
i suppose to sleep max.. i can..
but dunno why i was so AWAKE at 9am.
people around me was blaming why they gonna wake up at weekend for work
i have nothing to do until my dental appointment at 12.30pm.
So, early 930am i have started my phone conversation with my buddy..
She is so dead because she is working while am so awake..
She even asking me to swap with her, maybe i shall work and she could sleep better.
We chat til 12pm and only i out for dental.
Alice called. She was in PJ and we planned to meet up after my lunch..
I supposed to meet up another friend today..was a rush one right after my tea with Alice, i drove to Hartamas. A quick catch up with my friend and i leave home thought i able to have a short rest (break)
But things just not going to way i thought, Wai Meng reached my place 15 min early.
And i can't really have a short rest since we gonna go Ryan's open house.
Am emo? ya..i do.. due to tiredness. i didn't talk much and actually quarantine myself in one of the corner in Ryan's house.
Until late, i joined them..is the occasion issue or i am really exhausted? I think i really not into home gathering session..am so sorry to says.

Something funny happened today. we met a girl in Empire mall. She noticed me and recognized me then send me message in FB. She is my primary's mate. The weird things is I do not remember her at all but wenping able to recall how she looks in 18 years back.

Wendy.. a girl that i should known her when am twelve. A girl that told me she had actually changed a lot compare to last time. she is much fairer and fatter now..hahahah ( first time i heard people described herself like this.)

Anyway, looking forward to meet her again. Should be real fun i guess. :)

Summer leisure trip in Hong Kong

Another summer i spent in Hong Kong. 2nd time travel in HK with mama. the weather is SUPER HOT. Basically we did nothing in Hong Kong this time. I remember I had my breakfast at 11am-12pm at Causewaybay then immediate right after i step out the restaurant i went into WTC. We just can't spend another minutes out side under the sun. Seriously... to make sure i am not expose to the sun. I suggested mama we have shabu shabu at Mou Mou club. i think we spent 2 hours plus there. Basically my trip is EAT DRINK HK. haha.. we manage to visit Big Buddha but we are too lazy to climb the stairs.. We almost buy ticket for the Canto version of Smurf movie ticket. But end up we back in hotel for afternoon nap. haha..crazy really. Happy hour with mama at club 97. yeah the place I celebrated my birthday early of this year. Mama is a best drinker.. we both drinks quite a lot that night. but really enjoyed.

What a wonderful weekend! Dim sum with my close buddies. We had a really fun lunch session. Guess non of us will forget this session in coming few years at least.

As usual, we ordered lot and ate lot! Guess we scared the captain at the restaurant.
He came towards us and said : " 好緊要啊。你地四個女人一個男人叫甘多。好少人點到成張紙滿曬。真係好緊要!"

After lunch we had our tea session at Bayu Timor. ( Oh yeah. my favorite tea place in the hot afternoon). Enjoy whatsapping instead of talking. haha..Fun!

Nothing cures insomnia like the realization that it’s time to get up! I almost forget this is which day I am staying awake in the middle of the night. But I remember I actually didn't sleep at all last Thursday and Friday. And finally I got my pills on Saturday's noon. :)

Nothing could be better when you find someone exactly having the same disorder when you're having. Lucky mi, I have one.

Irony when I received my twitter notification saying someone is thinking of mi when he couldn't sleep as well. But well, one thing I have should admit it's good to have best friend keeping you company in the insomnia night. :)

Not exactly a business trip, but a meeting trip. Been long time never have such a super rush schedule. Departed LCCT at 835am and started my first meeting at 11.30am. All the meeting time is so close to each other but not location. I've took 7 cabs within 7 hours. First time I felt myself felt asleep in a car and feel don't like to talk on phone when am alone in the cab on the way to the airport. I think I am really exhausted. Finally reached Changi's Airport at 7.30pm. Cuzzie and a friend came over to have dinner together at Astons! Nice catch up but too rush i believe. My apologize.

Today was a very stressful day i had. I got an email from my boss. OK! What is it about? it's all about my neighbor is going to leave us and his task will be transfer to me! WHAT?? SG and TW? Gosh... i really don't see how i can squeeze in my time for that! is my future roles just for REPORTS? not really.

He even told me this, " since i see you interested in designing so in near future you may help online marketing to design all the brief for designer."

Yes. Movie marathon again. First Insidious then Pirates Caribbean. I don't know who to blame for such an awful looking movie (Pirates Caribbean) - the Director or Cinematographer. If I have to spend 2 1/2 hours in this world, can they at least make it watchable?" I have this bad impression not because i just out from Insidious or am not in mood. Just find it really irritating and nothing really makes sense or i should says it messy piece of storytelling.

Insidious started off good then towards the end it got really corny. It did have some parts that scared me a little. Just a simple and typical "ghost story" premise - but this movie is downright creepy.

A day without Makeup

It’s somewhat ironic that I forget when is the last time I went out without my eyeliners. I've been asking my self million of times even to my ex that when is my first time put on the eyeliners. It’s funny how quickly I become addicted to it and quickly forget what life was like before I wore makeup.

Looking into my makeup bag. From 1 small case to a big cosmetic bag now. From the pencil eyeliner to few liquid eyeliners ( 4 or 5 pieces in a the bag) plus gel liner with the eye brush (different sizes of brush). I have no idea when I started to be so addicted to it.

No doubt, with eyeliners my eyes looks bigger (illusion problem I suppose). Sometime I even thought of should I just go for the tattoo liner. So then I can have a permanent and need not to draw my eyes every morning.

Until today, I wear no make up at all for 24 hours. The feeling was so great. Yeah, looking at my my self now. I started to recall how my natural looks. I never forget what mom answered me when I ask her should I put out at least eye liners before go out for dinner and her answer is NO.
You look great without it. (but I saw my puffy eyes) haha.. Alright, I then just go without my make up.

Am person who will think through what's I been done end of the day before my sleep. Today I really proud of my self wear no make up and I feel my face so CLEAN. :)
