MY 2013 Year in Review
Halo Alice Choo
Today is the final/ last day of 2013.
What have you did for the past 12 months?
Oh yeah.. I plays golf and darts now!
In 2013 I only spent ONE night party until 5am.
Got myself a new ride
Spent more time with family
Went Alicia Keys concert again after 5 years
Went to the iCity water park and ride the ultimate Tornado.
Got my favorite Gshock on Christmas!
Got my favorite Prada wallet!
Drink lesser compare to 2012
More exercise compare to 2012
Got myself a new goggle for swimming
Windmills in Amsterdam
White sands in Bamboo island, Krabi
Last but not least. I am in happy mood today! :)

2014 GST in Malaysia – How the Goods and Services Tax affects You
With that in mind, sectors of the economy which were not covered under
the Sales and Service Taxes may now be under the coverage of GST, as it
is a broad based tax measure. Unless these things are zero-rated (ie GST
is applicable, but at a 0% rate), prices of goods not previously
covered under those 2 tax systems will now be affected by the broad
based GST and cost more.

In conclusion, I will buy more clothes in future! lols

Malaysia inflation rate
In Malaysia, the most important categories in the consumer price index are Food and non-alcoholic beverages (30 percent of total weight) and Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (23 percent of total weight). Others include: Transport (15 percent); Communication (6 percent); Recreation and culture (5 percent) and Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (4 percent). The remaining components are Restaurants and hotels at 3.2 percent and miscellaneous goods and services at 6.3 percent
I think every Malaysian should have high concern on this chart! :)

Complicated
Seek for the right
Try to adapt and accept
Live in balance
Still the obstacles
Feeling sad
Getting dissapointed
Failed myself
No more tears
Struggling
Not to lose
Afraid of the loss
Afraid of being alone
Again
Time flies
every minute every seconds
Fears still there
Aging
Stress
Being an adult
Act like an adult
Making the right choice
Doing the right thing for life
For ownself
Drowning
time by time day by day
Too much of unforseen circumstances
Hate being no option but to accept
Hate to know and see the fact The truth
Doubt of self option
Doubt of how to making things happen
Who am i? I am lost?
Am i giving up my life my choice my direction?
Keep asking day by day
Seeking the light of my life
Hoping for hints?
Shall i? Just the feeling of insucure and not convincing playing in my mind my heart over and over again
Restless helpless breathless

A NOTE to MYSELF
"There’s no point in being in a relationship, if you are still going to have a single person’s mentality"
This is what I told myself after one of my best mate advised me. And this is very true and I felt am lucky that I can keep the promised in my relationship.
Of course, I always wanted things to be fair! But i think i am too week to keep my own self a promise.. and i like to tell myself..
Dear Alice,
Please take note on the below,
This is what I told myself after one of my best mate advised me. And this is very true and I felt am lucky that I can keep the promised in my relationship.
Of course, I always wanted things to be fair! But i think i am too week to keep my own self a promise.. and i like to tell myself..
Dear Alice,
Please take note on the below,
- Nothing is more irritating and hurtful than a person who makes promises and breaks them over and over again. It shows lack of consideration for the others feelings and also means the person cannot be trusted or relied on.
- The biggest mistake I have made in my life is letting people stay in my life far longer than they deserve
- Being single is so much better than being cheated on, lied to and disrespected
- You don’t have to have sex to cheat, once you find yourself deleting text’s you’re probably already there. Keep this is mind and do not easily let people go beyond my self limitation
- Real men stay faithful. They don’t have time to look for other women because they’re too busy looking for new ways to love their own
- It’s better to be unhappy alone, than unhappy with someone
- Forgiving is easy, trusting again is virtually IMPOSSIBLE
I know myself.. Apologies or not, you could never be sorry enough!

SPEAKING
I always wondered how speaking technique can be learn or taught. To make sure I in the correct direction, i decided to wikipedia it. I glad i found what i want and a better understanding of it today.
Here is what WIKI told me:
Speaking is tool to assist the identification and labeling of components of linguistic interaction that was driven by his view that, in order to speak a language correctly, one needs not only to learn its vocabulary and grammar, but also the context in which words are used.
S-P-E-A-K-I-N-G (for setting and scene, participants, ends, acts sequence, key, instrumentality, norms, & genre) under which Dell Hymes grouped the sixteen components within eight divisions.
The model had sixteen components that can be applied to many sorts of discourse: message form; message content; setting; scene; speaker/sender; addressor; hearer/receiver/audience; addressee; purposes (outcomes); purposes (goals); key; channels; forms of speech; norms of interaction; norms of interpretation; and genres.
Eg: The family story may be told at a reunion celebrating the grandparents' anniversary. At times, the family would be festive and playful; at other times, serious and commemorative.
Eg: At the family reunion, an aunt might tell a story to the young female relatives, but males, although not addressed, might also hear the narrative.
Eg: The aunt may tell a story about the grandmother to entertain the audience, teach the young women, and honor the grandmother.
Eg: The aunt's story might begin as a response to a toast to the grandmother. The story's plot and development would have a sequence structured by the aunt. Possibly there would be a collaborative interruption during the telling. Finally, the group might applaud the tale and move onto another subject or activity.
Eg: The aunt might imitate the grandmother's voice and gestures in a playful way, or she might address the group in a serious voice emphasizing the sincerity and respect of the praise the story expresses.
Eg: The aunt might speak in a casual register with many dialect features or might use a more formal register and careful grammatically "standard" forms.
Eg: In a playful story by the aunt, the norms might allow many audience interruptions and collaboration, or possibly those interruptions might be limited to participation by older females. A serious, formal story by the aunt might call for attention to her and no interruptions as norms.
Eg: The aunt might tell a character anecdote about the grandmother for entertainment, or an exemplum as moral instruction. Different disciplines develop terms for kinds of speech acts, and speech communities sometimes have their own terms for types

The 8 Divisions
1. Setting and Scene
Setting refers to the time and place of a speech act and, in general, to the physical circumstances". Scene is the "psychological setting" or "cultural definition" of a scene, including characteristics such as range of formality and sense of play or seriousness.Eg: The family story may be told at a reunion celebrating the grandparents' anniversary. At times, the family would be festive and playful; at other times, serious and commemorative.
2. Participants
Speaker and audience. The audience can be distinguished as addressees and other hearers.Eg: At the family reunion, an aunt might tell a story to the young female relatives, but males, although not addressed, might also hear the narrative.
3. Ends
Purposes/ objective, goals, and outcomesEg: The aunt may tell a story about the grandmother to entertain the audience, teach the young women, and honor the grandmother.
4. Act Sequence
Form and order of the event.Eg: The aunt's story might begin as a response to a toast to the grandmother. The story's plot and development would have a sequence structured by the aunt. Possibly there would be a collaborative interruption during the telling. Finally, the group might applaud the tale and move onto another subject or activity.
5. Key
Clues that establish the "tone, manner, or spirit" of the speech actEg: The aunt might imitate the grandmother's voice and gestures in a playful way, or she might address the group in a serious voice emphasizing the sincerity and respect of the praise the story expresses.
6. Instrumentalities
Forms and styles of speech. This is very close to point no. 5 but actually there a different.Eg: The aunt might speak in a casual register with many dialect features or might use a more formal register and careful grammatically "standard" forms.
7. Norms
Social rules governing the event and the participants' actions and reactions. ( Reaction depend on the situation/ atmosphere? )Eg: In a playful story by the aunt, the norms might allow many audience interruptions and collaboration, or possibly those interruptions might be limited to participation by older females. A serious, formal story by the aunt might call for attention to her and no interruptions as norms.
8. Genre
The kind of speech act or event - the kind of storyEg: The aunt might tell a character anecdote about the grandmother for entertainment, or an exemplum as moral instruction. Different disciplines develop terms for kinds of speech acts, and speech communities sometimes have their own terms for types

sobriety
“I once heard a sober alcoholic say that drinking never made him happy, but it made him feel like he was going to be happy in about fifteen minutes. That was exactly it, and I couldn’t understand why the happiness never came, couldn’t see the flaw in my thinking, couldn’t see that alcohol kept me trapped in a world of illusion, procrastination, paralysis. I lived always in the future, never in the present. Next time, next time! Next time I drank it would be different, next time it would make me feel good again. And all my efforts were doomed, because already drinking hadn’t made me feel good in years.”

Stay
All along it was a fever
A cold sweat hot-headed believer
I threw my hands in the air I said show me something
He said, if you dare come a little closer
Round and around and around and around we go
Ohhh now tell me now tell me now tell me now you know
Not really sure how to feel about it
Something in the way you move
Makes me feel like I can't live without you
It takes me all the way
I want you to stay
It's not much of a life you're living
It's not just something you take, it's given
Round and around and around and around we go
Ohhh now tell me now tell me now tell me now you know
Not really sure how to feel about it
Something in the way you move
Makes me feel like I can't live without you
It takes me all the way
I want you to stay
Ohhh the reason I hold on
Ohhh cause I need this hole gone
Funny you're the broken one but i'm the only one who needed saving
Cause when you never see the lights it's hard to know which one of us is caving
Not really sure how to feel about it
Something in the way you move
Makes me feel like I can't live without you
It takes me all the way
I want you to stay, stay
I want you to stay, ohhh

"Just Give Me A Reason" (feat. Nate Ruess)
Right from the start
You were a thief
You stole my heart
And I your willing victim
I let you see the parts of me
That weren't all that pretty
And with every touch you fixed them
Now you've been talking in your sleep, oh, oh
Things you never say to me, oh, oh
Tell me that you've had enough
Of our love, our love
Just give me a reason
Just a little bit's enough
Just a second we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
It's in the stars
It's been written in the scars on our hearts
We're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
I'm sorry I don't understand
Where all of this is coming from
I thought that we were fine
(Oh, we had everything)
Your head is running wild again
My dear we still have everythin'
And it's all in your mind
(Yeah, but this is happenin')
You've been havin' real bad dreams, oh, oh
You used to lie so close to me, oh, oh
There's nothing more than empty sheets
Between our love, our love
Oh, our love, our love
Just give me a reason
Just a little bit's enough
Just a second we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
I never stopped
You're still written in the scars on my heart
You're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
Oh, tear ducts and rust
I'll fix it for us
We're collecting dust
But our love's enough
You're holding it in
You're pouring a drink
No nothing is as bad as it seems
We'll come clean
Just give me a reason
Just a little bit's enough
Just a second we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
It's in the stars
It's been written in the scars on our hearts
That we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
Just give me a reason
Just a little bit's enough
Just a second we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
It's in the stars
It's been written in the scars on our hearts
That we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
Oh, we can learn to love again
Oh, we can learn to love again
Oh, oh, that we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
